1. If you are in a herd, you don't have to ask permission of the leaders to have a foal. But they have to be informed about it and have the right to accept the foal or deny it access to the herd.
2. If you are in the herd, your mate does not have to join the herd.
3. Mates are permanent unless yours dies, quits the RP, or leaves you for some reason. Then you can find another mate.
4. You can mate during any season but if the foal is not born during foaling season there is a greater chance of miscarriage or stillborn foals.
5. Since this is a realistic RP we will allow semi-graphic breeding/birthing. If it is over PG level please indicate so in the title.
ex: mating (PG-13)
No rated R mating please (unless in PM)!!
6. The mother and father will decide the foal's appearances, personalities, genders, etc as long as it is genetically possible from their own.
Ex: Two black horses generally don't produce a palomino foal.
They will also decide between themselves who will play the foal. Either of them can play the foal or they can ask another RPer to play it as long as that RPer agrees.
7. The foal must be joined on the joining board like a normal applying horse would be. Include the mother's and father's name in the title please.
example: Mare's Name xXx Stallion's Name
8. Mating/birthing is only allowed in the designated RP areas.
9. Members of different herds can be mates.
10. The mother stays pregnant for 1 week in real time before giving birth. She must then introduce the foal to the herd(s) and wait for the leader to accept or deny the foal entrance..
