The mountains were seeing and calm today. A light breeze picked up as the sun shone and the clouds rolled on ahead. It was a day welcomed by the stallion that was the protector of these lands, it was after all, his future herds territory. He had arrived here some moons ago, a couple years at max. And he knew this territory backwards, forwards, diagonally, and upside down. As he walked through a meadow in one of the secluded valleys near the lake, or loch as he called it, for he was from scotland after all. His unshod-hoofs barely made any noise as the fringe behind them made a soft swish swish as they pased over the flowers and grass blades. His lifted his head and shook it as his ebony mane waved in the breeze. He flicked his tail to keep the flies off and started at a canter, his hoofs beeting against the ground in a rythmatic fashion. He breathed heavily, his great muscles flexing and his lungs and heart pumping to the beat. The music for "Scotland the brave" playing in his head. He felt as of he was back in his native home again, and that was why he chose the mountains for his home, and for his future herd home, because it made him feel at ease, and like a young colt again. The dark chestnut and black stallion cantered as fast as he could, without going into a full gallop up to a ridge top, a point when he could survey most of his territory. Coaxe, for that was the stations name, let out a loud neigh or whinny. A signal to any offending males that he was the lead stallion here. Then he cantered back down the mountain to the lake where he had made his home. he layed down, as horses do on occasion with his front legs crossed out in front of him, near the waters edge, and as it rippled he let it wash over his front legs and help cool him off. Today was a very peaceful day on the Munte mountains, and it put coraxe at ease. As a cool breaze blew by him, he half closed his eyes, and let out a huff, content with the world around him.

Oliver was trudging along behind the powerful Coraxe as his massive self cantered along. Oliver was much smaller and thinner, while Coraxe was muscular and mighty. He watched his leader's feathering swish around his massive hooves in what could only be described as adoration. Oliver wanted so much to be a big and powerful stallion like his herd leader. Looking down at his own meager hooves, he sighed.
Maybe some day... But for now they'll have to do. After all, they have gotten me this far.
He mused under his breath only to look up and realize that he was about to crash into the Mighty Coraxe himself. Digging his pale hooves into the rocky ground the young stallion managed to hold his ground and stop just in time. As Coraxe let out an assertive and dominant neigh, Oliver cowered back a bit. Coraxe knew he was no threat, but he was after all the leader and could do anything he wanted with any male horse. He was kind enough to accept Oliver but could toss him out at anytime. He would never make it in this world without his sister Cricket, so he knew he had to behave... Though he would never want to cause trouble anyway, he just had to show he meant no harm and was only there to better The Munte herd to the best of his ability.

"Oliver, have you herd any new things about the other herds?" Coraxe asked. flicking one ear as a fly landed on it. He shook his head and mane and flicked his tail.
(ugg, short post is so short cause of a dead muse.)

Yes sir.
Oliver started timidly. The paint stallion walked forward and stood next to his leader before talking again.
New lead stallion in the Platou herd... No new foals but a few new mares joined each herd this week. I haven't seen the bachelors around though, or any loners. I can send the scouts out though... just to be sure. You know, mark the area and bring in any loose mares... If you'd like sire, only if you'd like.
Oliver spoke calmly keeping his ears pinned, non-aggressively, in subordination. While awaiting a reply the younger male turned to face his home land and sighed at the beautiful sight. Down below he could see a small gathering across the field; he knew this to he his herd but when he couldn't find the pinto markings of his sister Cricket he started to worry. He just hoped Coraxe couldn't see it in his eyes.

"send scouts. If they see another stallion that isn't of this herd, they are to report back to me." he said. He stood up and shook his massive head.
(my muse is so dead right now.)

((Same here... WE NEED MORE MEMBERS D: we need more people to get us going cuz the herds are so small. I don't think just the few of us, no matter how many characters we create, can keep this place moving lol))

Ariala lifted her head stiffly. Maybe this was were she could meet the evading twins. She had explored the lands looking for them, but she could never find them. Being lead mare she needed to make sure they knew her. She had already met Coraxe and was eager to meet the twins too.

Coraxe sniffed a few times, catching the sent of the lead mare of his heard and let out a neigh to let her know that one of the twins was over here.
