Cosima trotted along the border of her territory, looking for the elusive lead male of her herd. (fail post is fail. -_-; )

((lololol nice starter post <3)) Glory was thundering down the long stretch of beach, full speed ahead. Doing so was one of his favorite pass times. He loved the feel of the wind as it whipped his mane and tail, he loved the smell of the ocean air and the mist of ocean spray and sand as his hooves pounded the shore. The ebony male stallion took such pride in his territory. His herd was small and growing still, but hey, he had a lovely lead mare and a fantastic beach to call his home. After all those years of hard work he never thought he'd get where he is now. Speaking of his fabulous lead mare, he was on the search for her. He had found a great new place for the herd to graze on sweet and abundant beach grass (and was probably way too excited to tell her). As he ran on Glory could see a black and white figure appear on the horizon, one he knew to belong to his dear Cosima. When he got closer he sped up and whinnied a greeting to his queen. Slowing to a canter he circled her then slowed to a trot to trot along with her.
'Ello madam, how are things on this end of the beach?
He asked in a gentlemanly fashion while flashing his most charming smile.

Cosima grinned as Glory approached. "Why, hello. Quite fine, thanks for asking!" she burred with a smile. She gave him a love-bite on his ear, gently, to assure he wouldn't be hurt. She slowed her gait to a walk and blinked at him, he eyes mischievous.

That's good, I'm glad.
Glory replied then blushed and dipped his head with a snort as his lead mare nibbled on his ear. Despite being a gentle giant, he wasn't used to such affections. When Cosima slowed her pace he could see the sly look she was giving him and it sent a shiver down his spine. Slowing his pace as well, Glory stopped in front of Cosima and decided to tell her about the new grazing area.
So I was out and about the other day and happened to stumble upon a rich feeding ground. The beach grass is tall and exceptionally sweet and tasty. Do you think the other mares would like it there? I can lead you all if you gather them for me.
He told he with another charming smile and a whip of his wavy tail.

Cosima blinked in surprise. "Great idea. That's wonderful!" she whinnied with a great, glad laugh on her lips.

Here, I'll bring you there first so you know the way as well.
He told her with a bright smile and whinny. Nudging her forward gently he started off at a trot toward the new grazing area.
So hows the herd?
He asked trying to make small talk during their journey to avoid the awkwardness.

She snorted inwardly. "Fine, we're good." she said awkwardly. She had never really been good at that kind of talking.

Glory smiled brightly despite the uncomfortable situation the pair had found themselves in.
Oh good, I'm glad to hear it...
He said trailing off unsure of what to say next. Instead of talking he just focused his attention on the sand flinging from his large hooves as the two leisurely made their way town the shore, in no hurry at all. Glory loved spending time with his queen and he especially loved to spoil her and make sure she was happy at all times; but it wasn't always easy. For some reason unknown to either of them there was always a little tension between them. For the rest of the journey Glory brainstormed ways to try and 'beak the ice' between him and his lady, so to speak.

Cosima was at a loss of what to say. Her feelings for this stallion were hard to understand, even for her. She didn't know how to express herself around him. It was just that, she was just happy being around him. She stopped at the large pach of grass that he had described to her. "WOW!" she whinnied excitedly. "Thisll feed us for weeks!"

Oh good! Good good good.
Glory cheered along with his lead mare.
That's what I was hoping, actually. Why don't we just do a search of the area and then you can lead the others over!
He ordered sweetly with a nicker before nudging Cosima forward. He himself went a different direction so they could cover more ground. After their short look about Glory dropped to the ground and rolled a little, partly to scratch his back and partly to start the marking of his new territory addition. Hauling his compact ebony body back up the lead stallion walked around pawing the soft sand marking the perimeter. Glory then proceeded to mark in a few places just to make sure. He didn't want to have a run in with any bachelors, these mares were his and now this land was too. No good-for-nothing herdless stallion would get any where near his harem; he wouldn't stand for it.

She reared up a bit in excitement, nickering happily. She searched around a bit as well, and found the patch free of markings from other stallions. She was happy that he had found such a wonderful place to graze. She went back. "Everything looks secure, no previous markings or anything!" she reported.
